Car Insurance – New App Introduced to Aid Customers After an Accident

Apple iPhone users will be interested to hear about a brand new app aimed at helping drivers involved in a car accident. The idea behind the mobile app is to provide drivers with the help and guidance needed to speed up the process of a potential car insurance claim.

AXA car insurance (http://www.compareinsurers.com/Car-Insurance/Car-Insuranc...) pioneered the release of this mobile app. The reason behind their involvement stems from their most recent research, revealing that an astonishing two thirds of all drivers do not know how to deal with exchanging details and the process of arranging a replacement/hire vehicle for the duration of repair.

The point of this mobile app is to allow drivers to input and store personal and policy information when needed to exchange between any other drivers involved in an accident. It allows drivers to take images of damage at the time and scene of the accident, whilst noting down any eye-witness accounts that could prove significant.

Simon Clayden, head of AXA’s IT innovation said: “We know that nobody ever wants to have to claim but if they do, providing better service through new and convenient channels can only help make the process less distressing."
