Jan. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- NEWS BULLETIN: Standard partially implementing the Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) in Brazil entered into force [31763]
On 26 September 2009, Brazilian Standard NBR 14725 Chemicals - Information About Safety, Health, and Environment entered into force. This standard, which is divided into four parts - terminology, classification system, labeling, and safety data sheet, partially implements the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) in Brazil. It reviews and replaces NBR 14725:2005 Safety Data Sheet for Chemical Product. As of 27 February 2011, the requirements on classification and labeling of chemicals and on safety data sheets laid down in NBR 14725:2009 are mandatory.
