If you knew who reads your email, you'd be shocked!

“We were shocked to learn that emails are read so often by authorities and people with system administration privileges.” says Paul Sijben, developer of MyFileByMail. In Scotland for example there were half a million legal interception requests in 2008, as Commissioner Kennedy reported to Parliament. “So many for a population of only 5 million or so.”

Social network sites and email are used for on line communication. But do not consider this private; one out of fifty messages is intercepted by authorities. One out of three system administrators admits to reading other people's email.

Now, how would you feel about  receiving an opened envelope in your mailbox?

Email is a commonly used, multi-purpose medium. People not only use it to send holiday pictures and other private information to friends, but also legally binding information like contracts, agreements and financial figures between businesses, lawyers and accountants are attached to messages and archived in mail servers.

That's why it is important for users to protect at least two things. Users need to protect their Internet connection, just like a secure envelope, and they need to protect the actual content of the envelope, so unwanted eyes can't read the message.

This is why Paul Sijben developed MyFileByMail, the first easy secure sending solution. The service sends encrypted files of any size as download links using protected connections. Before users send the message, the actual content is encrypted automatically, giving  a minimum of two layers of protection. An unique key is generated randomly, on the user's computer, which is why users should install the client software;  to be sure even our system administrator can't read their message.

Perzonae has launched the secure sending service at www.myfilebymail.com.  Everyone can try the features; and new users get 20 free credits.
