Follow on Google News | Kosher 9-11 t-shirts? Author not sure about thatThe author of an in-progress 9-11 novel is diligently working on the novel, which will wrap up soon. For his first novel it made sense to market humor products. But this one's different.
It all made sense. But with a new novel that has 9-11 at its dark heart, Shiloh isn't sure the same marketing is kosher. He's wondering what can be done. "The marketing aspect was intrinsic to 'Pookoo'," Shiloh said. "It was Real Life meets Fiction and I'm always looking to blur that line. I have some things set up for the new book, but nothing as far as t-shirts, hats or bumper stickers. I'm concerned it would be in bad taste." Not that was ever the only consideration in the history of Marketing. One thing Shiloh does have started to spreading the word is a way to share memories of 9-11 at http://www.911novel.com. Visitors are encouraged to leave a note about where they were when 9-11 happened. The new novel is titled "Waiting for the End." "I attended high school in Connecticut with people who were in the Twin Towers," Shiloh added. "I have a friend who died in Iraq, serving for a cause he believed in. I'm very sensitive to those who lived through history." "It may be a case where TV and Radio is where the word gets out, so we may need to get booked," Shiloh added. Budget is always key to what Shiloh does, which is why he uses print-on-demand technology. "It's also environmentally friendly," he added.
