PRLog (Press Release) - Jan 01, 2010 -
You believe you may suffer from panic issues but you do not know which are the signs and symptoms of panic attacks? Those who have experienced them can described them in a single word: "violent". And the most disturbing thing is that they are coming on some unexpected moments. Imagine driving a car on the highway and having to deal with one.

Panic disorder is not life threatening, but some of the physical symptoms may feel so. Often, panic fears are misunderstood with a heart attack. This because often they provoke pain in the chest. However, they are accompanied by other signs as short of breathness, a sensation of something holding you in the throat, shaken hands and body, nausea, dizziness, hot flashes or chilliness. These are the common physical signs of panic attacks.

Having panic fears can disturb your confidence and the way your mind work. It is common to have feelings of terror, out of control thinking and fear that someone may know what are suffering from. Often sufferers of panic disorder become solitaire and avoid contact with friends and family. This a bad decision because actually it does help you overcome the panic issues if you speak with someone. No wonder why the counsellors are so busy.

The typical panic attack can least for few minutes and they occur mostly during the day and rarely during the night. However, there are persons who have panic attacks on their sleep. Some may call them nightmares, but they are different really. Usually, the person wakes up shaking and needs longer to calm down. When they occur during the day, they are shorter and more easily to deal with. However, because they can happen anywhere, the panic sufferers are very stressful and anxious of them. After all, is not that nice to have a panic anxiety attack in front of your boss or when you take an exam. It can cost your job or your career.

If you have these signs and symptoms of panic attacks the best thing for you to do is to consult a specialist and follow some sort of treatment. There are some medications that work, as well as some therapies.
