Wilderness Innovation was conceived back in the early 80's. At that time the primary focus was on preparing Boy Scout troops for winter camping, and winter survival. We taught them how the body functions in the cold, how to avoid hypothermia, and even how to make their own safe clothing suitable for living in conditions well below zero. We began supplying many survival items as well as a variety of camping supplies not only to scouts, but to many others as well.
Over the years things have evolved with the company research has been done in several climates as well as areas of the US. We have taken it upon ourselves to find the best ways to keep survival simple so that anyone can learn and be comfortable.
We have been interested in survival skills and in assembling survival items to put together in various kits. After much study and trial and testing we came up with a couple of nice survival kits and a various other survival supplies. The focus has been to have high quality products at a realistic price.
We also began during this last year providing wilderness training and survival preparedness to both live audiences and on our own YouTube channel. Things have been evolving rapidly as we have worked on refining our educational offerings, and finalizing and testing our own line of products.
