Twitter Diary 2010
Twitter Diary 2010 is a project to get the social networking community together to be part of a hand-painted visual diary of the Twitter phenomenon. Batya, the artist, will paint 365 portraits of people’s Twitter avatars & favorite Tweet in honor of the new year, 2010.
Rewards for participation in the Twitter Diary project include having your Twitter avatar & favorite Tweet painted for the exhibit, signed sketches & prints of the work, an ebook of the entire series and other great rewards to thank participants. Inspiration behind Twitter Diary:
"The attraction of images combined with words is the reason that I chose Twitter as the focus of this project. It has all the elements of our contemporary world in a capsule. I want all of us to step back for a moment and see our Internet world by freezing a moment and focusing in on its meaning. The Twitter Diary project frames that moment while remaining authentic to the social network phenomenon since the entire project is built on the contributions of its supporters and their ideas & expressions."
