Clearwater, FL — The Tampa Bay Technology Forum has chosen 15 finalists who will compete on November 12th for five awards honoring the best in Tampa’s technology community.
PostcardMania was named one of three finalists for the Quantum Leap award category, along with Doctors’ Administrative Solutions and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. The Quantum Leap Technology of the Year award is awarded to businesses that have fostered a transformational impact within the company through the application of technology resulting in operational excellence or market success. PostcardMania has done just that by expanding their range of products and services into the realm of technology-driven marketing such as websites and landing pages.
“We needed our postcard marketing clients to get excellent results from their campaigns. It’s not enough to simply provide beautiful postcards and fantastic service in terms of production and mailing,” says PostcardMania CEO, Joy Gendusa. “Nowadays, folks go straight to the internet after receiving a postcard for a service or product they are interested in BEFORE making a buying decision.”
It all started when Gendusa was reviewing some of the websites of current PostcardMania clients and the results were shocking! “The websites for the most part were (and are) not up to par! Even if the postcards sparked interest, once the recipient went to the website they would, in most cases, get a lousy first impression of the company and our client would lose that lead. Most have no way to collect the visitor’s contact info, or if they do, the visitor has to navigate through the site to find how to inquire… Today it is very important to make it very easy to have a dialogue with the visitor.”
PostcardMania set out to offer their clients and prospects a great website and/or landing page at competitive prices. By researching other competitors, PostcardMania found they are mostly concerned with fast turnaround and cheap prices… not RESULTS for the small business owner. PostcardMania cares about both.
“We are taking something generally considered excruciating (developing an effective site that reflects the company’s professionalism and complements the other marketing tools used) and making it inexpensive and simple and a pleasure for the business owner,” says VP Business Development, Sarah Payson, “And if they simply cannot afford a new site or an overhaul, we will develop a micro-site or landing page simply to continue the communication started by the postcard sent.”
The awards ceremony will take place at the A La Carte Pavilion in Tampa November 12th. Tickets are available at www.tbtf.org.
