The Rocky Mountain Direct Marketing Association named Sallie Burnett 2009 Direct Marketer of the Year at its annual Eagle Awards Presentation today. A 19-year industry veteran, Burnett is president of Customer Insight Group, a leading multi-channel strategic marketing firm.
The DMA Marketer of the Year award honors an individual who has contributed to direct marketing excellence in the last 12 months, and has exemplified outstanding contributions to the direct marketing profession, to the Rocky Mountain Direct Marketing Association, and to the larger community. The award recognizes the achievement, innovation, and leadership of a company whose work represents the very best in marketing directly.
Burnett is very active in the Denver and the national direct marketing community. Working across the full array of digital and direct channels, she gives workshops and seminars at the Online Market World, Association of National Advertisers, National Center for Database Marketing Conference, National Retail Federation Conference on CRMRetail, the Retail Advertising & Marketing Association Conference, DU Marketing, Roundtable, Rocky Mountain Direct Marketing Association DM Days, Network Affiliates Annual Convention, Customer Relationship Management Conference, and Regis University.
Burnett is also an adjunct professor at Daniels College of Business. Daniels College of Business is in the top 15 percent of undergraduate programs and the top five percent of graduate programs among the approximately 550 business schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. As an adjunct professor at Daniels College of business, Burnett uses her strategic, analytic, digital and creative marketing experience, to provide graduate and undergraduate students with a "real world" digital marketing curriculum.
