Clearwater Resort is located in the central business district of Clark Freeport, a large ex-US airbase that was converted back into a special economic zone back in the 80s. Clark Freeport as it is known today is a bustling city complete with its own international airport with dozens of airlines linking all major Asian cities with direct flights.
Clearwater Resort is owned by HK-based Yats International Leisure Philippines which also owns and operates other properties in and around Clark Freeport and Angeles City, most notably the fine-dining Yats Restaurant and Wine Bar which is famous not only for its French Mediterranean cuisine but also its 3000-line wine list with vintages that span over 100 years.
Clearwater Resort is a large 13ha property built around a 3ha man-made fresh water lake which offers 4 different swim spots, kayaking and boating in the lake, fishing, picnic grounds that offers croquet and other colonial amenities, a lawn tennis court and a small number of rooms along with a charming garden cafe. Amenities are quite basic so one cannot really characterize it as a 5-star resort. Indeed it was never intended to such but rather a clean, safe and spacious country park with lodgings.
This is an ideal place for family outings but many have also found out that it is great for company functions, weddings and team-building events.
