2010 Entrepreneur’s Law School Featuring Keynote Speaker Dr. Richard Pegnetter

The keynote speaker during the 2010 Entrepreneur's Law School's Lunch with the Lawyers will be Dr. Richard Pegnetter, Founding Dean of the FGCU Lutgert College of Business.

Dr. Richard Pegnetter, Founding Dean of the Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) Lutgert College of Business, will be the keynote speaker for the 2010 Entrepreneur’s Law School. The day-long event will take place from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at FGCU. Pegnetter will be speaking during the Lunch with the Lawyers period of the day at 12:00 P.M.

Dr. Richard Pegnetter, former interim president of FGCU and dean of the Lutgert College of Business, also established the Center for Leadership and Innovation at FCGU to develop relationships with area business executives and support regional economic development. He is also on the statewide Board of Regents for Leadership Florida as well as being actively involved in conference roles with for The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. His academic focus is negotiations and conflict resolution, and he is a nationally certified, neutral arbitrator in labor-management disputes. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.  

This is the 11th consecutive year of the popular Entrepreneur’s Law School. Coordinated by the Small Business Development Center of Florida Gulf Coast University (SBDC), the sponsors for this year’s event are the law firm of Alvarez, Sambol, Winthrop, and Madson, P.A., KeyBank, and BriersCPA. The day-long event is designed to help small business owners better understand legal issues pertaining to their particular businesses. Local attorneys will conduct hour long sessions addressing various topics pertaining to small businesses, including:

Sessions will be held on campus at Florida Gulf Coast University, Student Union Building (Building #17 with large clock) 10501 FGCU Blvd, S., Fort Myers.

The Entrepreneur’s Law School tuition including Lunch with the Lawyers, with keynote speaker Dr. Richard Pegnetter, is $75 for the morning or afternoon sessions and $95 for the full day, if purchased in advance.
