The domestic travel industry in Brazil has been setting new records in 2009. While the rest of the world has been in crisis, Brazil recorded for the first six months of 2009, a 23,13% growth in domestic flight departures compared to 2008. When the year of 2009 closes, the number of domestic flight departures is expected to have reached 52 million; a new record in the Brazilian travel industry.
Senior Partner Alexander Wasastjerna, comments, “As a result of the growing Brazilian tourism market, we decided to start offering rental properties as part of our Brazilian property portfolio. We have many clients who have purchased properties in Brazilian hotspots through our company, and we want to help our clients generate healthy rental returns for their property investment in Brazil."
Wasastjerna continues, “We have been positively surprised by the early success of our new rental department, and we are fully booked already for January to March. Over 90% of our bookings are coming from Brazilian tourists from the bigger cities further south in Brazil, and the rest is from foreign tourists who prefer to rent an apartment rather than booking into a hotel. Our philosophy of only marketing properties in prime locations is clearly paying off and the success so far of our rental department is a testimony of how important it is for clients to buy a property in Brazil in the right area."
"In addition to offering support to our investor clients, the new rental department also offers first time visitors to Brazil a great way to "try before you buy", Wasastjerna adds.
