Drapery Row Receives New Shipment of Beacon Hill Closeouts

Dec. 29, 2009 - PRLog -- Picking up where he left off as Vice President of Discount Fabrics USA, Charles Morgan has selected his first high end load of designer fabrics for 2010. The load includes several enchanting designs from Beacon Hill, Robert Allen's high end fabric moniker.

Charles Morgan, creator of Discount Fabrics USA's online site, as well as wunderkind behind that company's national brand, left the company in December 2009 to pursue his own brand of home decor fabrics, launched draperyrow.com - a designer's alternative to the mundane cookie cutter world of online fabric stores.

"I feel that there's no knowledge being imparted to the consumer. More often than not you have the small minded mentality that you are just selling some commodity you've picked up. I never could change the corporate culture at Discount, so I decided that going forward I would approach things in my own unique way. You have to care about the products you select when buying. Each design tells a story. If you can't feel that connection then you have no business in the business... you have no business putting that fabric in someone's home. These aren't just common threads you are offering... they are the set pieces of people's lives."

Included in this load is a great Astrological design called Sunbeam which features suns drawn straight out of a Victorian era postcard. Another is Treasure Hunt, a French hand print which features ragged pirate ships hustling away ill-gotten treasure under the shimmering glow of pale moonlight. Nicosia, an Italian tapestry, features birds in bright plumage against the colorful backdrop of a fantasy garden.

Drapery Row will serve as the next to final stop for these patterns, now discontinued and out of production. The final stop will be someone's home. Says Charles, "We'll provide the spark and the inspiration. If you have the passion for design, then you'll find the fabric that is perfect for you."
