IALive got there just in time to watch a great tribute to the late Les Paul the inventor of solid-body electric guitar which "made the sound of rock and roll possible". He is credited with many recording innovations, including overdubbing, known as sound on sound, delay effects such as tape delay, phasing effects, and multitrack recording. Paul is one of a handful of artists with a permanent, stand-alone exhibit in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Named by the music museum as an "architect" and a "key inductee" along with Sam Phillips and Alan Freed.

Watch the 6 minute footage of the tribute to Les Paul with Rick Neilsen, Brian Ray, and Orianthi, and 100 kids jamming on guitars to celebrate the life and attributes of Les Paul, the true "guitar man". Alex Mejia introduces the show and gets a quick photo of himself and Rick Nielsen for the IALive archives.
