Dec. 28, 2009 - PRLog -- The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida is holding a volunteer information session at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 14. The meeting is open to the public and will be held at the Whole Foods supermarket at The Mercato in Naples.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® is supported in large part by committed volunteers, and more are always needed, especially volunteers who are bi-lingual. Volunteers can help the Foundation in a variety of ways, including fundraising, event planning, public speaking, among other things, and, of course, wish granting.

“Working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® is such an amazing experience,” said Judith Yevick, West Coast Operations Manager for the Southern Florida chapter. “It is truly incredible to see the profound effects that granting a wish can have in the lives of the children and their families, and to know that you were a part of that is a wonderful feeling.”

Attending a Volunteer Information Session is required before individuals may become a volunteer with the Make-A-Wish Foundation®. To reserve a seat for this meeting, call 239-992-9474 or email plafrance@sflawish.org.

“Come and learn how you can help put smiles on the faces of children fighting life-threatening diseases and share in the power of a WISH®,” says Yevick.
