Indian jeweler Sparkle-09 says that such ornaments are becoming increasingly popular. For example, most in demand are a pendant that can become a ring or a ring that can become a bracelet, a necklace that can turn into a folding pendant and a golden pendant in the shape of a pen drive.
The Times of India quotes Kashmira Nanavati, director of She Jewels of Mahidharpura:
She added: "These designs are our creations on which our unit people continuously work to further improve them. A jewelry design seen six months ago with us is no longer on display."
A folding pendant that can be made into a necklace is embedded with 2.79 carats of diamonds on 19 to 20 grams of gold, while a golden pendant that can also serve as a pen drive features one carat of diamond and 15 grams of gold.
Kashmira noted that black diamonds are the cheapest of all and so are priced low
