Cowboys C Andre Gurode vs. Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth. Haynesworth is the league's best tackle when he is focused and wants to play. He has just 35 tackles and four sacks this season for the Redskins. This will be his first matchup against Gurode in a regular-season game since he stomped on Gurode's head, causing a gash and requiring 35 stitches when he was with the Titans in 2006.
Cowboys WR Roy Williams vs. Redskins S LaRon Landry. Williams has been a disappointment this year with 37 catches for 592 yards and six touchdowns. Already beaten down by the fans and the media, Williams got jolted after the Redskins game earlier this year when Landry questioned his heart and his manhood. Landry said Williams was scared to come over the middle. Coming off a one-catch performance against the Saints, Williams will be looking for a bounce-back effort against the Redskins. He would love nothing more than to make a play or two in the vicinity of Landry. That shouldn't be hard since Landry has been getting toasted regularly of late.
Cowboys OLB DeMarcus Ware vs. Redskins OT Levi Jones. Ware, carted off with a neck injury six days earlier, amazingly played last Saturday against New Orleans and had two sacks in a backup role. The speedy pass rusher leads the Cowboys with 11 sacks. Jones stoned Denver's Elvis Dumervil in his first start in Week 10 but has really struggled to pass-protect since.
Cowboys OTs Flozell Adams and Doug Free vs. Redskins OLB Brian Orakpo and DE Andre Carter. Adams has looked every bit of his 34 years quite often this year while Free is getting his first real playing time in place of the injured Marc Colombo. Orakpo was shut out last week but had four sacks the previous week and leads all rookies with 11. Carter has 11 as well with 10 in the nine games before last week's.
