What happening?
The Cardinals can win their 10th game, the most since 1974, when they went 10-4. The Cardinals have secured their third winning season since moving to Arizona in 1988, and their first consecutive division titles since 1975-74. The Cardinals likely won't rest their starters, even though they have a playoff position secured. Playoff seeding is still at stake.
Can the Cardinals get their passing game going? It's been the strength of the team for the past two seasons, but it hasn't been productive in the last two games. The 49ers controlled it two weeks ago in a victory, and the Lions put a lot of pressure on Kurt Warner last week. The Cardinals have more balance, but they still need to find a way to get Larry Fitzgerald open downfield.
Can the Cardinals defense stop the run? Opponents have had big rushing days against the Cardinals the past two weeks. The 49ers gashed them with long runs by Frank Gore, and Maurice Morris of the Lions broke a 64-yard touchdown run. The Cardinals have had some poor gap discipline and their front four has been manhandled at times. If the Cardinals are interested, they can shut down the run, as they did against the Giants and Vikings.
