Polos On Earth Renewal

Dec. 25, 2009 - PRLog -- POLOS on earth, a Tokyo-based online video service that offers contents in 3 languages, announces the launch of its newly redesigned website. The aim for website renewal was to simplify the visual look of the site and to create an easy-to-navigate interface. Added features include a more efficient search engine, the ability to read and leave comments on videos as well as rank them, and the ability for users to easily share and embed videos on other websites such as blogs and social networking sites.

Launched in April 2009, POLOS on earth enables people anywhere around the world to watch a wide variety of free streaming video content centered around originally-produced programs with a choice of subtitles in English, French or Japanese.

Some of the most popular programs produced by POLOS include the 3-part psychological drama Crossing, the animated SF series Rockets Come Home, and the documentary series Art Photo Scene, which portrays some of Japan's most renowned photographers. Viewers can also enjoy short films by independent filmmakers, video reports on Japan's art scene, and short documentaries about international social issues. New videos are posted to the site weekly.

Besides aspiring to provide quality entertainment, POLOS' specializes in supporting talented up-and-coming visual creators, providing them with both the financial means to produce their work and a medium to distribute it. With its international aspect, with more languages soon to be added, POLOS hopes to break down the cultural and language barriers that often isolate Japan from the rest of the world.

POLOS on earth is owned, operated and financed by RULE Inc., a design company based in Tokyo. It aims to generate revenue through sponsoring and banner advertising.
