Q: We have seen so much long, straight hair in the past couple of years, a very natural look. What hairstyles can we expect to see for the New Year?
A: To be completely frank, I find that Americans are beginning to grow tired of being the pioneers of fashion and are beginning to look abroad for their next big look. I believe that natural with bend, curls, and bounce are what we can look forward to in the New Year.
Q: How important a role is hair color when creating a new look?
A: Hair color is one of the most fundamental elements when creating a new look.
Q: Jennifer Aniston hairstyle over 10 years ago was the hottest copied hair fashion, which celebrity would you predict will be the one to watch?.
A: Penelope Cruz. Her look is beginning to become the new look. She keeps her hair natural, with grace and bounce with hair extensions.
Q: When cutting a celebrity's hair, does it go through your mind that this may be the next big hit?.
A: When I sit down with my clients, whoever it may be, I don't think about what the hairstyle might evolve into in the media.
Q: Clients walk into salons everyday with a photo of some celebrity cut out of a magazine, what about If you feel that a particular style would not be suitable?.
A: I have never had a client come to me with a picture of any celebrity. My clients come to me not as a hairdresser, but a hair designer.
Q: You are in the cover of the New York Magazine Image with Brooke Shields in the issue of December 2009, her hair always looks beautiful and healthy, what products you recommend?.
A: Brooke Shields has exceptionally beautiful hair. I urge my clients to find that special product to compliment their specific type of hair.
Q: The holidays are upon us. Are we going for the updo for the parties or down?.
A: Definitely a sexy updo!. Otherwise, bring in the holidays with a natural look and prepare others for your New Year style.
