Krav Maga Instructor Endorsed for International Seminars

Tim Hillis, owner of Arizona Krav Maga (dba Cottonwood Combat) has received approval and endorsement from Moshe Katz,  the founder of Israeli Krav International, to conduct seminars internationally.

Mr. Katz a 17+ year veteran of Krav Maga is the highest ranked student of Itay Gil (from the Human Weapon episode on Krav Maga). Mr. Gil served as the Lead Tactics Instructor to the YAMAM (Israeli Border Police Hostage Rescue Unit) and still serves as a Senior Instructor and/or Tactics Analyst to multiple Elite Units in the Israeli arsenal.

The unique characteristic(s) to the IKI method of Krav Maga is that it focuses on minimizing collateral damage. It further takes into consideration that under stress far more gross motor skills are necessary than are usually employed in older applications of Krav Maga.  Also, IKI realizes there must be a determining factor for "injuring to degree" for US based enforcement agencies; it therefore offers a mindset of prevention and apprehension far more compatible with "Use of Force" laws observed within the US. All this, plus an effective methodology of principle application proven daily in Gaza and throughout Israel for the safe custodial arrest of very violent, very unwilling terrorists for questioning.

Mr. Hillis is a veteran to Law Enforcement.  He has worked in Detention/Corrections environments and in Patrol.
