The monetary prize demonstrates the contest organizer’s belief that students should be exposed to a variety of well-paying career options. Stimpson encourages teens from her own experience as an entrepreneur who combines her gift of writing with her background as a classroom teacher. “I want kids to understand that you don’t have to sing or dance or play a sport to get paid.
