S&J Transportation now a Smartway Transport Partner

Dec. 22, 2009 - PRLog -- S&J Transportation Services, Inc (www.sjtrans.com) of Lee, New Hampshire has been accepted as a Partner of the United States Environmental Protection agency's Smartway Transport Partnership Program.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) SmartWay brand represents cleaner and more efficient transportation options that reduce greenhouse gases, improve air quality, and reduce fuel consumption.  

The program starts by instructing transportation companies to take a hard look at their fleets. Multiple factors including analyzing fuel usage, aerodynamics, even tire wear are assessed and submitted to the EPA. Companies are then rated, those win favorable results are invited to become partners. The EPA also offers multiple suggestions on how to improve fuel effeciency, reduce the carbon footprint, and improve air quality.
