Dec. 22, 2009 - PRLog -- Worry is mounting that the government stimulus’ massive creation of new money will cause runaway inflation--the U.S. dollar going bust.  The idea is that more money in circulation must dilute its value, with the result--prices across the nation skyrocketing as never before.  "Debunking the Hyperinflation of Peter Schiff and the Gold Bugs: A Guide for Investors," (ISBN: 978-1-936069-22-4, Richard Moheban, Mile Sands Press, December 2009, paperback, 176 pp., $17.95) takes a hard look at this simplistic notion and will put the worriers at ease.  The book uses a plain-English, common sense microeconomic viewpoint to challenge the “more money equals inflation” macroeconomic premise, which is just that--a premise.

Who is Peter Schiff, you say?  He is the galvanic force behind the burgeoning movement to stop all government “intervention in the free markets,” i.e. bailouts and stimulus spending.  Schiff found instant fame after his early predictions of the U.S. financial meltdown proved prescient.  He was presidential candidate Ron Paul’s Economic Advisor, and is an advocate of gold-backed money. Schiff has officially announced his candidacy for the 2010 U.S. Senate race in Connecticut and is a strong contender for the Republican Party nomination.
