Feb. 10th Intl. Market Access Seminar Hosted by U.S. Dept. of Commerce with TUVRheinland

PRLog (Press Release) - Dec. 21, 2009 - NEWTOWN, CT/ — Companies are facing unique challenges as they export products into emerging global markets.   But for those new to the export world, understanding regulatory procedures can be a roadblock in itself.  The Department of Commerce’s U.S. Commercial Service wants to help companies improve their success and comfort with exporting through an upcoming seminar called “International Market Access”.

The U.S. Commercial Service’s Northern New Jersey Export Assistance Center in partnership with the North American Division of TÜVRheinland®, the world leader in independent testing and certification services, is hosting a full-day seminar at Montclair State University in Montclair, N.J. on Feb. 10, 2010.  

“International Market Access” will provide an overview of the Global Regulatory Approvals Process and review potential roadblocks, with a special emphasis on the markets of the Asia Pacific Region, Brazil, and Russia.   Expert speakers for the event are Bill Holz, Senior Specialist in International Approvals for TÜVRheinland, and Mark Lewis, Foreign Service Officer for the Department of Commerce.

Bill Holz has 25 years of experience in international regulatory services, and has been with TÜVRheinland’s International Approvals Division since 2008.  Considered one of the foremost experts in international approvals, Holz works with companies to navigate the rules and pitfalls of complex international regulatory procedures.

Mark Lewis has over 20 years of experience working in Asia and has been with the Department of Commerce for over 10 years.    His specialty is in Chinese standards and certification.
