A straw poll carried out by 1st Galaxy has revealed that in an effort to keep costs down, as the challenging economic climate continues, seeing in 2010 will be more of a home affair. Over 65%* of people plan to stay in, carrying on the 2009 trend of ‘staying in being the new going out’ – but still with fun and frivolity in mind.

With an average night out on New Year’s eve potentially costing up to 3 times as much as staying in – this option is seen as the perfect way to celebrate, indulge and be merry without the marked up taxi prices, potentially bad weather and expensive entry to bars and clubs.’
