Arizona Cardinals Vs Detroit Lions Live streaming NFL Sunday Football on December 20

This is a complete mismatch no matter how you slice it. The Lions aren't going to be able to score much against Arizona's physical defense and the Cardinals' offense could score on seven straight possessions.

What happening?

With the way the Lions' defense is playing, the Cardinals could make an assault on the record books. Against the Ravens, who hadn't scored more than 20 points in five straight games, the Lions coughed up 48 points and the Ravens could've scored 60 if necessary. The Lions' secondary is banged up and extremely thin at safety and big plays are there for the taking. Several Cardinals could be gunning for career-high numbers.

Despite inconsistent play at quarterback and constantly facing double- and triple-teams, WR Calvin Johnson is a big-play machine and can single-handedly keep the Lions in the game. The Lions routinely go to Johnson 10 to 12 times a game and while they usually hit him less than half the time, it's the quality of the catches, not the quantity.

The Cardinals were knocked off by the 49ers last week so they're eager to not only clinch the division, but to also get back on the winning track and gain some momentum going into the playoffs. The Cardinals don't want to be remembered as a one-year wonder. A blowout win would serve two purposes for Arizona -- keeping the team in high gear and also allowing the stars an opportunity to rest.

This is a complete mismatch no matter how you slice it. The Lions aren't going to be able to score much against Arizona's physical defense and the Cardinals' offense could score on seven straight possessions. Hey, if the Ravens can do it (which they did last week), then it shouldn't be such a tall order for the high-flying Cardinals. The Lions have serious deficiencies in their secondary because they bust coverages on deep passing routes and they don't tackle well in the ground game, allowing big runs.
