Available in Apple store for iPhone and Ipod touch: LollyMap®

The new application LollyMap®, which was preannounced the previous month, has been approved and is available in Apple store. The number of download at the beginning is rewarding now those who believed in that new way of travelling having within reach all updated information through the use of audio guide and GPS. The application permits to follow the route of the user directly on place , but even “to surf” through the whole Europe like a virtual day-tripper sitting in the armchair in the own sitting room.
All the Audio guides available for the LollyMap® are in English at the moment, but the project anticipate   implementation of all the most important languages in the world. GPS location and the detailed maps permit the user to know immediately where he finds himself and be informed from one or even more icons, if near are located some interesting places.
In that situation analogies with the similar products ceased, as LollyMap® is the unique one that describe by word-of-mouth monuments, museums, sportive objects, but even interesting not well-known places that are not described even in normal guides. Furthermore LollyMap® is updated every day without any action of the user. Every moment, according to a position, are downloaded some interesting places located in surroundings, while the audio guide is listened on streaming. In that way application is not heavy, fast and finally very useful.
Finally, LollyMap® permits to anyone, using the appropriate link in the mail on the website www.lollymap.com, to suggest interesting places and even describe them personally, (they will be controlled and converted to an audio guide). Collaboration with all users in all over the world, hopefully would bring the real completeness of information. Naturally, even commercial enterprise would be introduced.
In that case, the group Lolli CH has pretty restrictive politic. The places will be valued before being possibly recorded, and never any paid advertisement could overcome objective opinion. Obviously this method is the most difficult to follow, but only usability of the application in this way could be really completed.
The tourist could trust to pointed out locals, while those could add and update personalized information, like menu of the day, special offers, “happy hours” and so on. Application is totally for free for the user , but only the small advertising lines has been included to attempt to make up the costs of the continues and constant daily updates, in lack of the important supporters.
