On December 22, 2009, the Gidewon Foundation and Konfidence Foundation will team up with an array of sponsors, friends and celebrity affiliates to provide 2000 children a day of fun as they celebrate the Christmas holiday. In an effort to give back to the community this holiday season, the foundations have put together a day of fun and adventure for the less fortunate children living in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Children will enjoy a day of celebration inclusive of skating, games, music, food, and toy giveaways. As an added incentive the foundations have arranged for several celebrity guests to stop by and demonstrate their support for the children with an autograph signing and performances.
"I’m glad to be able to team up with Akon and the Konfidence Foundation to put smiles on children’s faces, especially in these tough economic times, when a lot of families are focused on surviving and unable to buy gifts,” states Gidewon.
The Gidewon Foundation has also garnered the support of the SCLC/ Women’s Inc. as they celebrate 31 successful years of community outreach for the children of Atlanta and Collective Renaissance Guild (CRG), a non-profit organization infusing arts, philanthropy and civic service into the cultural landscape of the hip-hop generation.
Special invited guests for the Holiday for Kids Affair include: Akon, T-Pain, Devyne Stephens, Polow Da Don, Tiny & Toya, Rasheeda, Chubbie Baby, Verse Simmonds, Killa Mike, Diamond, Li’l Scrappy, Yung LA, Young Dro and more.
