San Diego, California – Leading Design firm Ware Malcomb has completed FedEx Ground’s (fedex.com) new package distribution center in San Diego County. The project is located 10132 Airway Drive in Otay Mesa, California. Scannell Properties (www.scannellproperties.com)
of Indianapolis, Indiana served as the developer for the project.

San Diego office, provided architectural and interior design services for the new state of the art facility. The new 129,154 square foot package distribution center included 5,555 square feet of lobby, office space, training areas, and 123,599 square feet of distribution space. The distribution area houses a new automated conveying system and will provide both loading and grade level dock doors for loading and unloading of trucks. The 20.5 acre site includes 139 surface automotive parking stalls and 65 truck parking stalls.
