The UK property market has picked up in recent months according to the news reports. Properties are moving fast and final sales are even coming in above the asking price. Is all this just a blip or are we really seeing the beginnings in a rise in the property market again?
If we are, how will the next months play out in this most favourite of British Markets?
We talk to Richard Munro (M.N.A.E.A, D.E.A) a Director at London based Munro Lock Estate Agents, to hear his thoughts on where things are heading.
How did the downturn in the UK property market affect Munro Lock
Very badly as it did all local agents. We reduced our sales team over a 9 month period to from 15 down to 5. This was a very difficult thing to have to do but we had no option if we were to keep the company afloat.
How is the market now?
It is very good indeed, since March/April this year we have seen a remarkable change in attitude from clients. Add to this the low interest rate and sales have been coming thick and fast.
