CYPRESS, CALIF. -- ID TECH has recently joined the Secure POS Vendor Alliance. Secure POS Vendor Alliance (SPVA) is a non-profit organization founded by the three largest players in the payment industry, Hypercom, Ingenico and VeriFone, and is now comprised of many payment industry leaders. The purpose of SPVA is to develop end-to-end security standards and to implement and enhance payment solutions to protect the cardholder’s personal information against fraud and security breaches.
By joining the alliance, ID TECH fosters widespread compliance with existing security standards to ensure these industry standards are properly implemented, and provides input on future changes to those standards. ID TECH will be participating in SPVA working groups regarding Standardization and Implementation of Existing Security Standards and Standards for End-to-End Security Transactions. Through the working groups, ID TECH has added resources to back an already strong research and development process. The groups will provide a way of getting up-to-date information regarding data security and best practices, and will establish a direct and open line of communication with other industry leaders.
With value added resources and support from a substantial networking alliance, ID TECH continues to prove itself as an established leader in the industry.
