This is a unique opportunity to see one of the nwobhm's finest acts. Jameson Raid is the cult band of the era. Their stage act is legendary and their recordings are highly prized (and priced) on the worldwide web. '7 Days of Splendour' is considered to be a classic of the genre and is often covered by other bands.
The original band members, John Ace, Terry Dark, Phil Kimberley, and Ian Smith, have decided to do a mini tour with just a very few dates in 2010both in the UK and in Europe.
The 'Homecoming' gig will take place at the O2 Academy2 in Birmingham on Friday 23rd of July 2010 and the band are really looking forward to playing in their home town again.
Jameson Raid played with Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, and a host of other artists at festivals and concerts across the UK but never ventured further abroad. In 2010 that's going to change with gigs in Germany, Holland & Belgium. All tour dates will be posted on their website.
The reunion tour will be preceeded by the release of a brand new Jameson Raid retrospective CD, "Just as the Dust had Settled" released on Shadow Kingdom Records (USA) and the launch of their own 'Official' website at www.jamesonraid.eu
It's unlikely that the band will do more gigs after 2010 because the band members have other commitments and solo careers...so get your tickets for the O2 Academy2, Birmingham now!!
