Please join Meredith Village Savings Bank as they continue their annual holiday tradition to keep hands and hearts warm by giving new mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves to people in the community.
Now through December 24, MVSB customers and community members can drop off their handmade or purchased mittens and other donated items at their nearest MVSB office. The items will be displayed on a special tree in each lobby before being distributed to members of the community who need them. Numerous individuals and organizations, including the Visiting Nurses Association and local school nurses, will help the bank distribute the items early next year.
In addition, MVSB will contribute $2 for every item donated to the local community group or nonprofit organization named by each person. Last year, the MVSB Mitten Tree Program donated more than $2,500 to organizations in the Lakes Region.
To participate in the Mitten Tree program, bring your handmade or store-bought mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves to any one of the bank’s 11 offices and let them know which local organization you would like us to donate to.
