Ian has significant experience helping companies meet their legal requirements under DSEAR/ATEX, assessing risk, classifying areas, inspecting, designing and verifying installations for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. He spent 4 years at EX Notified body BASEEFA as User Services Manager responsible for ATEX/DSEAR Compliance Services and Training, and previously held senior safety and engineering positions at BAE Systems and also Rolls Royce. Ian has an MSc in Health and Safety Management, is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and Chartered Health and Safety Practitioner.
“My role is to work closely with customers to improve safety, find solutions and support change within an operation, providing pragmatic advice and guidance, and helping to reduce cost whilst effectively managing risk.
“I will be involved in supporting many industries including oil and gas, petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, food and drink and any other business involved in the processing or handling of substances possessing fire and explosion hazards” Ian continues. “My appointment to Ex-Solutions has enhanced what is already recognised as a very capable team offering complete Ex Solutions”.
