The 1.5-metre height and three-metre long flag is powered by colored Solar Photovoltaic Module array, with photosensitive semiconductor devices made of photovoltaic cells assembled in modules. The specially designed and manufactured colored PV module when put together resembles the UAE flag and will generate more than 1 MW a year. It will be displayed at the Butterfly Roundabout at the entrance to Dubai Media City, a member of TECOM Investments.
