This Friday and Saturday Ice Flyers fans can look forward to hockey and much more at the Hangar. On Friday, December 18, fans can donate to MDA, have the chance to win a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and donate non-perishable food items for a chance to win an Ice Flyers prize pack. Fans have another chance to donate non-perishable food and win a prize pack on Saturday, December 19, as the Ice Flyers host a Teddy Bear Toss to benefit Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital. Both games are at 7:05 p.m. at the Pensacola Civic Center.
Friday, December 18- Bike Night at the Hangar: The Pensacola Ice Flyers are teaming up with Harley-Davidson of Pensacola to fight Muscular Dystrophy. To raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, proceeds from Bike Night at the Hangar, Friday, December 18 at 7:05 p.m. will go to the charity. In addition to watching the Ice Flyers host the Mississippi Surge, fans will have the chance to win a 2010 Harley-Davidson Crossbones! To enter to win, simply call the Ice Flyers at (850) 461-3111 and request a specially-discounted $12 corner seat, with portions of the funds going to MDA. The fun continues Saturday night at the Hangar.
Saturday, December 19- Teddy Bear Toss: Fans are encouraged to bring teddy bears to the Ice Flyers game against the Columbus Cottonmouths on Saturday, December 19 at 7:05 p.m. Following the Ice Flyers first goal, fans will throw the teddy bears on the ice. Team officials will collect the bears and donate them to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital. Along with the teddy bears, fans can also donate food.
Food Drive: Before both games, the Ice Flyers and Manna Food Pantries are holding a food drive. Help the hungry in the Pensacola area by bring a non-perishable food item to donate. All donators will receive a raffle ticket for a drawing during the respective game; each game will award one winner an Ice Flyers Prize Pack.
Also of note, the Ice Flyers players are decorating Christmas ornaments. During the December 18 and 19 Ice Flyers games, the Ice Flyers Booster Club will put the ornaments up for sale in a silent auction. Win an ornament hand-decorated by one of Pensacola’s very own Ice Flyers!
