A new web site and blog Suffering with Joy has come live in recent weeks, authored by Barbara A. Schoeneberger, M.A. The site explores the meaning of redemptive suffering, how it helps mankind, and how to find purpose beyond pain. Through inspirational commentary, personal stories and practical approaches to caring for one's spiritual and physical health Ms. Schoeneberger offers readers new ways to look at their lives. Redemptive suffering ties pain and suffering to God in union with Christ's suffering on the Cross. Finding purpose in pain answers the "why?" of suffering. Ms. Schoeneberger knows first hand the ravages of illness and adversity and reaches out to others to show them how to make life better even when bad circumstances prevail.
Barbara is a writer known throughout the Traditional Mass Movement for her ability to provide reliable commentary and insight on developments in the Church related to the Traditional Latin Mass and to promote understanding of Catholic tradition in general.
In 1999 Ms. Schoeneberger founded Una Voce - Springfield Area, an affiliate chapter of Una Voce America, which is dedicated to the restoration of the Traditional Catholic Mass now called the "Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite." She began a monthly newsletter for the Latin Mass Movement that was widely circulated among Latin Mass groups and she continues to write and publish it through Una Voce Arkansas Ozarks which she joined in 2006. A former small business consultant and author, Barbara has been interviewed on radio and television.
