Dec. 17, 2009 - PRLog -- One industry where virtual assistants are currently thriving is in Real Estate.

With the nature of work real estate agents have—always on the road, meeting clients, showing houses, holding open houses (among others)—these professionals always find that they don’t have enough time for necessary but time-consuming tasks like paper works.

As real estate agents, they usually spend their time: 1. out on the streets selling, 2. making phone calls for follow-ups, and 3. talking to clients. But these three things are just the tip of the iceberg, so to speak. There are a lot of work that needs to be done to be a successful agent, and this where VAs come in to play.

Marketing

One vital function that any real estate agent must be successful at is marketing. This is basically, selling themselves to their-would be clients. Without marketing themselves, they won’t get any client.

Virtual assistants are usually very proficient with this, especially in online marketing. Agents can have their websites designed and maintained by their VAs. VAs can also do SEO/Link building for their websites. Designing marketing materials, such as fliers, postcards, presentations can be outsourced as well.Agents can also have their VAs do telemarketing for them. A simple script and a database is all it takes.

Administrative Tasks

These are the most common tasks that a VA can handle for a realtor. They will take care of the administrative work that may take your whole day away. Most virtual assistants are administrative experts.

VAs can take care of forwarding paper works to people who need them, when they need them. They can also manage your database, process mailings to clients, set appointments, and make travel arrangements for you.

Lead Management and Lead Cultivation

Perhaps the most important function where VAs can help is lead management ant lead cultivation. As real estate agents, leads need to be continuously flowing. But even with a steady stream of leads, but the agent can not manage and cultivate them, those leads will eventually become stale.

What VAs can do on behalf of agents is qualifying leads. Once a lead comes, the VA can give them a call to know their needs and if they are serious buyers or sellers. Once leads are qualified, then the VA forwards it to the real estate agent. This way, agents save time that could be wasted by processing unqualified leads, instead be spent on talking with serious clients. Well, this is just an example. Agents can have their VAs work with their tested systems and processes, in the end, giving them time for the essential activities.

There are a lot more things that agents can designate to their VAs.

In essence, VAs help real estate do what they need to do best.
