Though Dr. Loye completes this race annually, this year had particular meaning. "Many of my patients have been hard hit by the recession, suffering deep losses, even members of my own team. I wanted to do something that was broad enough to help out a lot of people and I heard the food bank was in need, so this race seemed to come at the perfect time." His team also competed in the race as well as his wife and two children.
