Ibstock Brick has once again dominated the Brick Development Association (BDA) Brick Awards, taking home more awards than any other brick maker, including the Supreme Winner Award 2009 for the Guildford Education Campus in Surrey.
The awards recognise excellence in design and construction using brick and, after being shortlisted in 13 categories for 46 different projects, Ibstock was presented with an impressive nine awards in total.
Andrew Halstead-Smith, marketing manager at Ibstock, commented: “Last year’s BDA Brick Awards were a huge success for Ibstock and we set the bar very high for 2009; but I am happy to say that we’ve done even better this year.
“Ibstock has long been associated with the best in UK brick building and it’s great to see so many Ibstock projects getting the recognition they deserve.”
Ibstock projects also won Best Educational Building, Best International Project, Best Public Building, Best Innovative Use of Clay and Brick Products, Refurbishment – Geoff Flower Memorial Award, Volume Housebuilding and Specialist Brickwork Contractor of the Year.
