TOKYO, Japan – Supernet Tour & Travel (doing business as Super Value Tours) a tour operator based in El Monte, California has been recognized as one of the winners for the 2009 Japan Tourism Agency Awards (JTA).
The JTA award recognizes outstanding contributions made by nominees. 117 candidates competing for the award were nominated by local Japanese transport agencies or tourist institutions. After careful review by the JTA Director Commendation Auditing Committee, only 12 finalists were picked as winners.
Supernet Tours’ affordable Japan tour programs as well as its commitment to public awareness for travel to Japan has led to measurable increase in the number of US tourists visiting Japan. The award recognizes outstanding contributions made by this corporation.

Tourism involves a wide range of industries or sub-industries. The Japan Tourism Agency award categorizes these sub-industries into six major industries. Supernet Tour & Travel is the only North American tour operator among the winners.
Other winners include Mr. Feng Xiao Gang, a well-known director in China whose movie, If You Are The One, was recognized for showcasing Hokkaido as a destination;
