Francis Ford Coppola Presents’ new cafe, Mammarella’s, located in the Napa Airport Centre at 630 Airpark Road in Napa, offers commuters and businesses near the Napa Airport a casual cafe atmosphere to enjoy lunch or relax with an espresso drink.
Mammarella, meaning “little mama,” was the family’s affectionate term for Francis Coppola’s mother, Italia. The cafe reflects this tradition of family as well as Coppola’s own personal watchwords of Quality, Authenticity and Pleasure. Coppola’
The design of the cafe has a decidedly casual Italian feel, starting with the bright tomato awning at the entrance, tables set with jars of Mammarella’s Crushed Red Pepper and bottles of Blancaneaux Blood Red hot sauce, and menu items displayed on large chalkboards. Reproductions of original photographs depicting the illustrious career of Coppola hang on the walls and a colorful broken mosaic tile floor reflects an artsy appeal.
The core of Mammarella’s menu is southern Italian cuisine. One of the first sights as you enter is the authentic wood-burning oven. Mammarella’
Other items include made-to-order pastas, freshly prepared salads and Coppola family recipes such as Eggplant Parmesan and Chicken Cacciatore, as well as Francis’s favorite sandwich, the Muffaletta, a New Orleans specialty stuffed with salami, ham, mortadella, Swiss cheese and olive spread that is made to share. An array of fresh, pre-packed salads and sandwiches are also available daily both from the kitchen, and from our Grab & Go section.
Mammarella’s also offers authentic dishes for your dinner party or family meal at home. Selections from the Take Us Home menu include lasagna, gnocchi, Caesar salads, both styles of pizzas and more. Just order in the morning and pick up in the afternoon on your way home. With Mammarella’s located just three minutes off of Highway 29, it is a perfect solution for commuters.
Mammarella’s proudly serves Illy Coffee and is one of only a handful of northern California restaurants that is part of Illy’s Artisti Del Gusto program, which assures customers of an exceptional multi-sensory coffee experience.
