Hilton Head Monthly Names John Kerr, Director of Tennis at Palmetto Dunes, “Best Tennis Pro”

Savannah, GA – Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort is pleased to announce that Hilton Head Monthly named Director of Tennis, John Kerr, the “Best Tennis Pro” in the magazine’s December 2009 issue. The honor was part of the magazine’s annual reader’s choice awards.

“In an area so dedicated to tennis, it is a particular honor to receive this recognition,” enthused Kerr, who has taught tennis to residents and visitors at Palmetto Dunes for 20 years. “I love teaching tennis and enjoy sharing my passion for the game with others.”

Kerr originally joined Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort as Head Tennis Pro in 1990 and was named Director of Tennis in 1996. He is P1-certified by the United States Professional Tennis Association and is a Professional Tennis Registry professional. A graduate of Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, Kerr began his career with on Hilton Head Island in 1986, shortly after placing fourth in Jantzen Sportswear’s National Fast Serve Competition.
