4E1/8E1/16E1 Optical Transmitter and Receiver Supports G.703 Connections

Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) has released its digital 4E1/8E1/16E1 optical transmitter and receiver supporting G.703 connections. It uses very-large scale integrated (VLSI) circuitry, digital multiplexer and optical transmission technology. The point-to-point transceiver can act as a fiber optic multiplexer and transmit 4E1/8E1/16E1 over long distances without the need for repeaters; the transmission distance is 2 to 120km. This easily upgradable transceiver meets the requirements for high-speed data transmission and TDM integrated access.
This optical transceiver is compliant with telecommunication level operation and has a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of over 100,000 hours. It features a loop back function from the far end to the local end, electromagnetic radiation protection, large transmission capacity and a digital service telephone. The transceiver offers a built-in power supply that provides over-voltage and over-current protection. It has a single board structure and supports both dual and single filament bidirectional fiber types.
