Alexander says that in addition to consumer sales online, purchasers for libraries around the world are also connected to their distribution network.  "Of course we place authors on the number one bookseller of the world, Amazon.com.  And in addition, they're sold at BN.com (Barnes & Noble), borders.com, and internationally through WHSmith.com.  But one of the largest sales platforms is to libraries, and we make certain our clients are represented there as well."

All that aside, one of the primary benefits of working with House of Penguin Book Design is that there are never any minimum order requirements for Trade Paperback printing.  The initial fees that are charged to the client are for design, pre-press preparation, cover design, and distribution setup.  Then, when the client is ready to order any number of books, House of Penguin prints them and ships them out.  When orders arrive from online sales, Penguin fulfills those orders and collects payments on behalf of the author or publisher and forwards a statement and the payments on a monthly basis.
