About the Author

A divorced mother of two, my fascination with writing poetry began when I was in middle school. Even though I didn't graduate, I received my GED instead. I kept writing, but then forgot about it. When my son was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, I became depressed, went to counseling and started to write down my thoughts and feelings. That's when I started to write poetry again-about my divorce and my children. Having the support and advice of my older brother and daughter, I was able to get enough confidence to finally put my book together.
