Essex Bank announced that Paul N. Michaud was named the new Senior Vice President for Mortgage and Consumer Lending in the Bank’s Maryland market beginning September 8, 2009. He has been involved in mortgage and consumer lending operations for over 30 years. Paul was formerly Senior Vice President of Retail Lending with Bradford Bank, President of First American Funding, Vice President of Yegen Associates, Inc. and Corporate Auditor with General Electric Credit Corporation. He has been involved with four acquisitions involving banks and finance companies, where he provided senior opinions of loan file documentation and compliance. Paul also served on the Maryland Homeowners Preservation Task Force instituted by Governor O’Malley in 2007. He was appointed to the Government Relations Council approved by the Board of Directors of the Maryland Bankers Association in 2008. Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Southern New Hampshire University. He also earned an Associates degree in Accounting from New Hampshire Vocational Technical Institute.
