Oceania cruise line has revealed new plans for luxury suites on its newest cruise ship Marina.
The Marina is Oceania’s first ever newly built ship; weighing 66,000 tons and holding around 1250 passengers, Oceania will launch the ship in January 2011.
The three Owner’s Suites on the Marina will be twice the size of their counterparts on Oceania’s Regatta, Insignia and Nautica ships. With decor designed by New York company Tocor Interior Design, these 2500sq ft luxury suites will appeal to travellers who want the privacy of their own yacht-like living quarters, whilst still enjoying all of the benefits of big-ship cruising.
The suites boast a number of exciting and innovative features. Each suite has its own wrap-around deck with private outdoor Jacuzzi. Guests can also arrange for meals from any of the Marina’s restaurants to be delivered and served to them directly in the privacy of their Owner’s Suite.
The plans were unveiled at the trade showroom of Ralph Lauren Home, who will be providing the furnishings for the new suites, in New York City on Friday (11/12).
Frank del Rio, chairman of Oceania’s parent company Prestige Cruise Holdings, said of the new ship: "Marina is the latest incarnation of what the Oceania brand stands for, such as service, food and decor. We'd like to think everything revolves around good taste. We didn’t want just another ship."
Bookings for the Marina’s maiden voyages will go on sale from 13th January.
