Dec. 14, 2009 - PRLog -- DULLES, Va. - VIP Baseball, the group bringing minor league baseball to Loudoun County, VA, is pleased to announce phase one of its “Name the Team” Contest.

“VIP Baseball needs your help in naming the team!  We want you, the people throughout Northern Virginia and the Washington, DC Metro area to help name your new hometown baseball team,” said Bob Farren VIP’s Managing Partner.

To submit your name for the team, go to http://www.vipbaseball.net and submit your choice online.  You can also go to the contest sponsor’s locations and submit your name choice there.  The winning submission will receive two (2) Season Tickets to our Inaugural Season, a package of Official Team Merchandise and the opportunity to present the lineup card for the team during its first season.

VIP Baseball is proud to announce our partners in this contest, Buffalo Wing Factory & Pub and Beckstrom Electric.

VIP Baseball will take the names submitted through this portion of the contest and there will be an Internet vote of the favorites in early 2010.

“Opening Day 2011 is an aggressive goal for us and we intend to meet it; today’s ‘Name the Team’ contest is but another important milestone in our efforts,” Farren, concluded.  “Beyond baseball, the ballpark itself will be a home for Loudoun County where all residents can have a sense of community pride – and it all begins with them having a key role in naming the team.”
